Israel Thomas is founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ITET Gem Foundation. Israel started this foundation driven by the passion to give back to the society having benefitted from various scholarships schemes over the course of his academic sojourn and also the desire to ensure human potentials in Nigeria are harnessed and maximised.
Israel is an astute strategy and finance professional who started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), A big four accounting firm, providing assurance services to Financial Services clients and is currently Strategy Manager at Dangote Group, one of Africa’s leading conglomerate. Furthermore, Israel is an MBA candidate at the London Business School.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Igbinedion University, where he emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). Israel held scholarships of numerous bodies including the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), ICAN, the CFA Institute, the London Business school and notable private individuals who supported his education. He has also won other recognition in competitions such as the Cowbell National Mathematics Competition, NAFDAC Nigeria.
